Daniel has practiced law for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience working in creditor/debtor remedies, bankruptcy and insolvency, commercial landlord/tenant disputes and personal injury litigation. An expert in these areas, Daniel has contributed to several publications and continues to conduct educational seminars on these topics. He is a member of the Canadian and Vancouver Bar Associations, and the Law Society of British Columbia.
Originally from Kelowna, Daniel enjoys recreational golf and hockey as well as coaching minor hockey and baseball.
In a recent Supreme Court of British Columbia decision Dan Nugent successfully defended a claim against a defendant driver who allegedly was negligent in causing a motor vehicle accident with an oncoming motorcycle.
The case involved an examination of expert evidence from mechanical engineers and forensic toxicologists. Liability was found to rest solely with the plaintiff motorcyle driver.
